Why Test?

When a remediation company assesses your home or business they want it to be a mold issue and to make money removing it. 

It seems an obvious enough thing to say. All companies exist to make money and there's nothing inherently wrong with that.  But Professional Mold Inspections does not perform mold remediation.  It is a conflict of interest for any inspection company or licensed mold assessor to perform remediation. Our company only provides independent testing and inspection services.  If in the course of inspection and testing no significant mold is found, our written recommendation will state that you do not need any mold remediation.  Furthermore, if mold remediation is necessary, our company will write a recommendation detailing and limiting the scope of work needed to resolve your specific mold issue, nothing more and nothing less.

If you have already had mold remediation work performed how do you know that your mold issue has been successfully resolved? 

Many of the tests and inspections done by Professional Mold Inspections are performed specifically for this purpose. We are able to document, inspect, test, photograph and provide written scientific proof that your home or business no longer has any significant amounts of mold.  This can be very important documentation to have in circumstances that might involve insurance companies or real estate transactions, even several years after the fact.  Potential home buyers can be confident that your past mold issue was correctly remediated and repaired if you are able to provide them with documentation from a New York State Licensed Mold Assessor.
